Monday blog round-up

November 2nd, 2009 by claire.mitchell

We’re kicking off the week with another look at what’s been happening on our favourite property blogs.

Want to appear on the next series of Relocation Relocation? Then get over to 4Homes to find out how. And while you’re there, Rich has been doing a round-up of quirky rugs to warm your home for winter.

For our weekly celeb property fix, we headed straight for Brickwork, who have gone all 90s manufactured pop on us. First up is Ginger Spice – Geri Halliwell’s one-time pad in Holland Park has just been let for £650 a week. Girl power is followed by not so much boy power, with the news that Robbie Williams has put his Wiltshire estate on the market at a £1 million loss. Brickwork are also at home with London fashion queen Zandra Rhodes, who opened the doors to her Bermondsey abode to the Guardian last week.

And for celebrity news from across the pond, the Real Estalker is asking if Michael Jackson was house-hunting when he passed away. Rumour has it he was trying to buy a Bel Air mansion so oppulent that it would have made his Neverland ranch look as understated as a one-bed flat.

They’ve been in the mood for Halloween over at Findaproperty.com’s Winging It blog. While Joss picked her top Gothic properties as her Five to view, Mike was searching for properties with cemetery views.

And finally, Chesterton Humberts’ house historian has been delving into the political history of the Georgian townhouse that was once home to Benjamin Disraeli, and taking a look at a unique Chelsea property that was the only residential home designed by Professor Walter Gropius, founder of the Bauhaus.

Enjoy!
