Muse’s Devon eco house for sale
Friday, October 23rd, 2009A rock band living in an eco home, did I hear that right? Yes you did and the band in question are the multi award-winning Muse.
The eco home where the three British musicians have been renting near Teignmouth in Devon is now for sale at a rock and rolling £1.35 million.
The 5 bedroom timber and glass framed house is set in its own private wooded valley, the perfect place to strum out some electric sounds without upsetting the neighbours.
The exposed laminated timber beams and roof covered in golden cedar shingles will, say the designers, lock in hundreds of tonnes of carbon for the life of the building.
And the taps won’t be left on in this eco home as a rain water harvesting system ensures that drinking water is only used where it is needed.
More information about the eco home’s features can be found here.

Heather Mills’ London apartment for sale
Friday, September 18th, 2009The infamous Heather Mills, a certain Beatle member’s ex, has put her swanky London apartment on the billionaire’s row, The Bishops Avenue, up for sale.
Reported to have spent up £15 million on properties, holidays and staff wages, could this be a sign of Heather being affected by the recession?
Mills snapped up the three bedroom home for around £2.35 million at the end of last year and now it’s on the market for £3.75 million. Complete with indoor pool and gym, it would certainly be a great place to unwind after a hard day’s night.
Mills still has a home in Sussex and apartments in New York and Paris, so she’s not short of other places to stay.
